Develop and market products that prioritize consumer wellbeing and transparency

Certify products to meet high standards for environmental and social responsibility through credible benchmarks

Maintain a CEO-to-median employee pay ratio of no more than 25:1 in the country where the company is headquartered

Living Wage
Ensure all employees earn a living wage, as defined by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and calculated by Living Wage for US/p>

Well-Being & Inclusion
Cultivate a workplace culture that promotes well-being, inclusion, and respect for all employees

Community Engagement
Dedicate a minimum of 1% of net revenues or 10% of net profits to philanthropic initiatives, including financial contributions, in-kind donations, and volunteer efforts

Climate Action
Take verified climate action, by funding climate projects at a level proportionate to emissions, and achieve Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions reductions in line with science

Dual-focus investment facility for early-stage companies with terms that privilege long-term purpose governance and for later-stage firms enabling exits for venture investors to support maintenance and expansion of impact work unburdened from return liquidity mandates.

Catalyzing bold government policy that supports purpose-led business models, stakeholder capitalism, and centers environmental and social wellbeing.

Companies
Leading companies in the natural products industry have signed on to Pilot the Purpose Pledge in 2025. Their commitment to this collaborative process includes community building and mutual development for the purpose of refining and validating the Pledge’s 10 Commitments, benchmarking their own progress across each commitment, and supporting each other develop their first 3-year plans to operationalize and achieve each commitment.
